Microsoft explorer mini mouse, keep blue halo effect on?
Now tell me if this is even possible with only software/drivers, does the mouse actually receive any information? because if it doesn't, than this is obviously impossible. The mini mouse lights up when it first turns on, but then for some stupid reason the lights turn off right away. I want them to stay on. any thoughts?
it is asked by the computer for a Hardware Identification String to which the device will supply one to the computer, this will tell the PC what to look for in terms of what drives to find. I don't think this should make the lights turn off or on and I don't know your mouse. some lazer mice have the led light on all the time others don't need one.

Which computer mouse should I get, microsoft bluetrack mini explorer or blue track 6000?
I like the "under glow" on the mini explorer but the usb connector is so much bigger, I like the nano usb connector on the 6000. I can plug it in and not even know it's there. which one is better on battery and which is just a better mouse?
Can I use a Microsoft bluetooth mouse with my bluetooth laptop ?
Please click at
http://www.microsoft.com/hardware/mouseandkeyboard/ProductDetails.aspx?pid=084&active_tab=systemRequirements
It says at the bottom "IMPORTANT: For best results and Bluetooth® device
compatibility, use the included Microsoft® Mini Bluetooth Transceiver.".
My laptop has a bluetooth card inside. Would it work with the Microsoft
mouse if I don't use the included Microsoft® Mini Bluetooth Transceiver ?
It will work, I had the same thing I tested with Palm T3 it has Bluetooth too it works. Those bundled transceiver as far as Logitech described them has a small extra button to link up and assuming to run those as pseudo-wired USB device, although I had no such transceiver since I bought them as parts.
Why can't I program the 4th and 5th buttons on my Microsoft mouse?
I've got a Mac Mini with bluetooth, and I just got a new Microsoft 5-button bluetooth mouse with side scrolling. (Microsoft wireless laser mouse 8000)
I'd like to be able to use the extra side buttons as forward and back on my internet browser. How do I program them to do so?
I don't really think this is a compatibility issue, but I may be wrong. I can only find the program controls for the two buttons and the scroll wheel.
Make sure you've got the newest drivers downloaded from Microsoft's site. It may be a compatibility issue, but most likely it's just a faulty driver somewhere.
